Assist Station 80 Structure Fire - Mariners Cove

Shortly after 0330 hours, the Sussex EOC alerted Indian River (80), Millsboro (83), Lewes (82), Station 91, and Medic 106 to a reported structure fire in the area of Sussex Lane in Marniers Cove. 91-10 responded within in minutes along with 80-15. Both units were advised by Sussex of a possible trailer fire in Marniers Cove. They advised that the caller had hung up, but the power map put the call in the area of Sussex Lane. 91-10 arrived in the area and searched Sussex Lane finding nothing. As the crew circled the culdesac, they noticed smoke coming from a trailer across the canal on Pine Street. 91-10 advised 80-15 of the location change. 80-15 and B-91 arrived shortly after finding a trailer with smoke showing. 91-10 arrived and staged short of the scene. Engine 80-2 arrived next. The crew from B-91 and 91-10 assisted the crew of 80-2 with placing the line inservice, lighting up the exterior of the residence, and venting the structure. As the remainder of the box assignment arrived, 91 crews established a rehab area and assisted as needed until released by Command.
