MVC with Entrapment - 24 & Gull Point Road

At 1117 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Indian River, Mid Sussex, and Medic 106 for a Motor Vehicle Accident on Rt. 24 & Gull Point Road. B-91 responded soon after dispatch. Engine 77-2 (on standby for Indian River's Open House) arrived on the scene just prior to B-91 to find a single vehicle accident with one subject trapped. As fire crews went to work stabilizing the vehicle and starting extrication, the crew from B-91 and Medic 106 began patient care. The crew from A-91 assisted the crews already on location with patient care. The crews from Indian River and Georgetown extricated the patient and transferred her to the waiting ambulance. Medic B-91 transported the patient to BMC. A-91 cleared up shortly after. Units responding, A and B-91, 77-2, 80 Fire units, Medic 106, EMS 100, DSFP, DSP.
