Water Rescue - Herring Creek

At 1226 hours, the Sussex County EOC alerted Indian River (80), Bethany Beach (70), Rehoboth Beach (86), Station 91, Medic 106, and Trooper 2 for a water rescue in the Herring Creek.  80 Command, A-91, and 91-10 responded within minutes and were advised of conflicting reports with possibly a jet ski versus a raft or another boat with possibly one patient in the boat.  While responding, 80 Command was advised that the patient was now at the dock in Shawn's Hideaway just off of Banks Road.  Command requested EMS units to respond to that location.  EMS units arrived at 1240 hours to find a single patient.  Medic 106 advised that the patient would be flown via Trooper 2.  Command had fire crews set up a landing zone in a nearby field.  A-91 transported the patient to Trooper 2, who then transported the patient to PRMC.
