Mid-Sussex
Just prior to 1900 hours, the Sussex County EOC alerted Indian River (80) Station 91, Medic 106, EMS-100, and Lifenet 64 for a motor vehicle collison on Rt. 24 in the area of the Legion. While responding, a member of Indian River who was on scene reported a two vehicle collision with mutiple patients trapped. B-91 arrived on location first and confirmed the same. The crew of B-91 split and one went to each vehicle. While completing triage, crews found a total of seven patients with four being Priority 1. 80-15 arrived an assumed Command. Crews advised the Chief of the situation and a Level 1 MCI was requested bringing B-83, B-82, two additional helicopters, and additional ground ALS. A-91 and 91-10 arrived next and were put to work treating the various patients. Crews from Indian River completed the extrications and then assisted with patient care as needed. A total of three patients were transported by Avation to Christiana and PRMC. The remaining four patients were transported by B-91, B-83, and B-82 to Beebe. Remaining 91 units were released by Command when ready.
