Mid-Sussex
Shortly after 1930 hours Sussex EOC alerted Indian River (80), Station 91, Medic 106, and Delaware Trooper 2 for a MVC on Long Neck Road in the area of Grotto Pizza. With mutiple volunteers in the station and crews preparing for dinner, two ambulances and the Duty Officer hit the street within seconds of dispatch. While responding, Sussex advised all units of a single vehicle into the woods with possible "heavy entrapment". Lt. Millman (91-10) and Medic 106 arrived within minutes of the report with a corrected location of Long Neck Road just prior to the entrance to Oak Forest with a vehicle in the woods with heavy damage. A and C-91 arrived just after 91-10 and proceeded to the two patients sitting on the ground. Lt. Milllman confirmed there was no entrapment. In all, two patients were packaged and transported (1 BLS, 1 ALS) by Medic C-91 to Beebe Hospital. 80 Command cancelled Trooper 2 and B-91 prior to arrival and cleared A-91 and 91-10 to respond to a 3rd Emergency.
