Mid-Sussex
Shortly after 2300 hours, Sussex EOC alerted Indian River (80), Millsboro (83), Lewes (82), Station 91, and Medic 106 for a structure fire on Gull Point Road just south of Rt. 24. C-91 was just clearing up from Beebe Hospital and responded on the call. Just as fire units began responding, Captain Johnson (91-40), who lives just up the street from the fire address, arrived on location and reported a house fully involved with a vehicle in the driveway and no one around. 80 Command (Captain Faulkner) arrived and estabilished the Command. As units arrived, Command put them to work completing various tasks. C-91 arrived and was advised to set up a rehab near the Command unit with Medic 106. Crews set up the rehab area and held there until released by 80 Command. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported. On a side note, while standing by at the fireground, our second ambulance B-91 and Millsboro Ambulance B-83 both responded to various other medical calls in our first due district. Special thanks to Station 83 for covering our area while our units were committed. Units responding Indian River, Millsboro, Lewes, Rehoboth Fire units, C-91, 91-10, Medic 106, EMS 100, DSFP, FM-16.
