Mid-Sussex
Today, a crew from Mid Sussex ventured to Rehoboth Beach to provide standby coverage for the Lewes Polar Bear Plunge. C-91 departed the station around 1030. While enroute to Rehoboth Station 1, Rehoboth Center dispatched 86 for a EMS run in the Rehoboth Local. Being the closest unit (only a mile away) C-91 requested to run the assignment leaving Rehoboth's Career Crew available in town if needed. Once the EMS call was completed, C-91 proceeded to Rehoboth Station 1. After enjoying a great sausage sandwich (courtesy of John Hazzard and Jerry Johnson) the crew was assigned to stage at Baltimore Avenue and the Boardwalk for the plunge. C-91 stoodby until around 1330 hours when they were released back to Rehoboth Station 1. Crews remained at Rehoboth Station 1 enjoying pizza until the traffic cleared. C-91 was back in quarters at 1500. Thanks to the guys at Rehoboth for a great time. See you next year.
