Assist 86 with a Structure Fire - Rt. 1 and South Street (Near Jakes Seafood)

Just prior to 2230 hours, Rehoboth Center dispatched Rehoboth, Lewes, and Bethany Beach for a reported structure fire on Rt. 1 in the area of Jakes Seafood. Members responding to Rehoboth Station 2 noted heavy smoke in the area. 86 Command (Safety Officer Howard Blizzard) arrived on location and reported a two story structure with smoke showing. As Rehoboth, Lewes, and Bethany units arrived, they were put to work completing various tasks. With the amount of manpower on the scene, and the fact that the BLS crews on scene were committed to the fire attach, Command requested an additional BLS to the scene to set up rehab. This sent C-91 to the scene. After arriving, C-91 was put to work setting up a rehab area along with the ALS unit already on scene. C-91 assisted with rehab until released by 86 Command. No firefighter or civilian injuries were reported.
