Mid-Sussex
At two minutes past noon, Rehoboth Center alerted the Water Rescue Task Force (86, 70, 80) for a water rescue, in Rehoboth Bay just off of Camp Arrowhead Road. As units responded, they were advised of possibility of several people in the water. Rehoboth units arrived in Dewey and launched 86 Marine 1 as Indian River units arrive and launch from Masseys Landing. Just as Rehoboths units began the trek across the bay, Deputy 80 contacted 86 units and advised that a research vessel had pulled into Masseys Landing with eight people on board and advised there were still three persons in the water. Minutes later 80 Marine 1 arrived at the people in the water and advised that they would transport them to Masseys Landing. Rehoboth and Bethany units went inservice. 80 units transported the people to the boat dock where crews from Mid Sussex examined them and transported them back to Station 91. No serious injuries were reported and all involved refused treatment. Units responding, 86-00 with Marine 86, Rescue 86, B-86, 86-3, 86-0, 70-11 with Marine 70, Rescue 70, 80-00 with Marine 80, 80-0 with Marine 80, Rescue 80, A-91, B-91, C-91, A-73, A-84, B-90, EMS-26, Lifenet 2, DSFP, DNREC, DSP, Dewey PD.
