Mid-Sussex
Just after 0300, Sussex County EOC alerted Indian River Fire (80), Station 91, Medic 106, and Trooper 2 for a MVC reported serious in the area of DE 24 and Gull Point Road. 80 Command, A-91, and Medic 106 all responded within two minutes. The initial report from Sussex was a single vehicle MVC, with a vehicle into the woods, with a subject ejected. Sussex also advised bystanders reported "serious injuries, but the patient is breathing". As 80 Command was arriving, Sussex reported a 921 unit (Millsboro Police) was on scene reporting a Priority 4 patient. 80 Command arrived and reported a vehicle in the roadway with heavy damage with at least one patient in the woods. Medic 106 and A-91 arrived 30 seconds later and reported to the wooded area to begin patient assessment. Upon assessment, it was determined that the patient was DOA. As crews were secruing the scene, bystanders relate that there may be a second patient. Crews from Indian River and Station 91 checked the immediate wooded area and found no other patients. Units were released and the scene was turned over to the DSP Fair Team. Units Responding, 80 Fire Units, A-91, Medic 106, EMS 100, Trooper 2, DSFP, DSP, DELDOT.
