House Fire with Injured Pets - Indian Town Farms

Just after 1600 Sussex EOC alerted Indian River (80), Lewes (82), Millsboro (83), Station 91 (second emergency in district), and SCEMS for a house fire at the above location. 80 Command with Asst. Chief Ruckle, responded and arrived first to find a single family single story home with smoke showing. A-91 responded and arrived just behind the first engine and were assigned to set up rehab with Medic 106. Crews from A-91, Medic 106, and Medic 103 set up rehab and passed out water to firefighters on scene. Shortly after the fire was knocked down, crews found a cat inside. Asst. Chief Buckaloo (82-17) brought the cat to EMS crews, who administered oxygen and gave the cat water until the owners arrived. No other injuries were reported, EMS crews were on scene for just over 90 minutes when released by command. Units responding, 80, 82, 83 Fire Units, A-91, Medic 106, Medic 103, DSFP, DSFMO.
