Mid-Sussex
Just after 0700, units from Indian River (80), Station 91, Medic 106, and Trooper 2 were alerted for a MVC with reported entrapment on Layton Davis Rd. in the area of J & J Lane. Lt. Millman (91-42) responded in the Duty Vehicle. While responding, Sussex advised all units to use caution due to reports of live wires on the vehicle with subjects trapped. Lt. Millman arrived in three minutes advising a single vehicle into a pole, with pole and wires down in the roadway. Lt. Millman also advised no entrapment that the patient was out laying next to the vehicle. Sussex was advised to contact DP&L priority one, due to the close proximity of patient to the wires. Rescue 80, Ambulances A and B 91, and Medic 106 arrived next and crews were able to rapidly extricate the patient to an area away from the wires. The patient was assessed and flown to Christiana ER via Trooper 2. Units cleared the scene when released by Command. DSP is investigating. Units responding, 91-10, A & B-91, 80 Fire Units, Medic 106, Trooper 2, DSP, DSFP
