Bariatric Transport Training

Tonight, officers, members, and employees of Mid Sussex, along with some members of Sussex County EMS, trained on new bariatric transport equipment in use by the Parsonsburg Md. Fire Department (Wicomico Sta. 6).  Mid Sussex is currently attempting to secure grant funding and donations to purchase similar equipment and place a Bariatric unit inservice Countywide.  Currently, until that occurs, Parsonsburg will be on dual response in our district for any patient requiring these capabilities.  Tonight, our members and employees trained on the equipment and became familiar with its operation so we can assist the Parsonsburg crews setting the units up.  We would like to thank EMS Captain Mike Parsons, and Cody Grosch for taking the time to train our personnel on the use of this eqiupment.
