Mid-Sussex
At 1332 hours, Sussex EOC alerted 80, 82, 83, Sta. 91, and Medic 106 for a house fire on Turnbuckle St. in Pot Nets Bayside. A and C-91 responded within a minute of dispatch and arrived on scene at 1338 reporting at single wide trailer with additions with nothing showing from the Alpha and Delta sides. After speaking with Pot Nets Security and the homeowner, they advised that the fire was in the range hood and they believe it had been extinguised with a garden hose. Crews investigated the same and found no fire, but did confirm light smoke in the trailer and a high amount of heat in the cabinets surrounding the range hood. Deputy-91 (Millman) communicated this finding to the arriving officer (Asst. Chief Mock) on Engine 1. Engine 1s crew advanced a handline into the structure along with a TIC and confirmed the fire was indeed out. Command held the assignment to 80-1 and Tanker 80 who both remained on scene completing overhaul. Command released 91 units and we cleared.
